As a late Christmas gift to himself, our "man on the street” Danny thought he’d kickstart the year with a new whistle and flute.
Using our made to measure service by MbE, our MTM and Bespoke service helmed by the new proprietor of Grey Flannel, Timothy Everest MBE, offered in the downstairs lounge of our Chiltern Street bricks and mortar store.
Danny flicked through many of our fabric swatch books. Wanting something a bit more classic and with many close competitors, Danny eventually settled on a beautiful caramel brown herringbone tweed from Abraham Moon & Sons.
After Danny’s measurements were taken he made some requests for how he wanted his suit to look and fit. A two pleated trouser with turn ups was a must, customised with straight sided pockets, a higher rise with strap and buckle waist adjusters for added comfort and aesthetic. For the jacket, medium sized lapels, cut longer in the torso (a problem Danny had with 'off the peg’ jackets) and a working sleeve to show off his cufflinks.
Once all these details are written up, four metres of the Moon fabric is ordered and sent to our MTM factory. Three weeks later, here are the finished results.
