STREET LIFE By Richard Braine
Join us at Grey Flannel this Thursday 8th October, 6–8pm, for STREET LIFE, an exhibition of photographs by Richard Braine, tracing over two decades of London street culture from the mid-60s onwards.
From Notting Hill street-sellers and the Rachman slums to Speakers Corner, skateboarders, Teddy Boy clubs, the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations and the raw energy of the Roxy Club, Braine’s photographs capture the people who shaped the city’s streets. Continuing through the 80s in Shepherds Bush and Hammersmith, his work documents a London on the cusp of change, witnessing the arrival of a new era while preserving the characters, communities and moments that came before it.
Private View: Thursday 8th October, 6–8pm | Grey Flannel, 7 Chiltern St, London W1U 7PE.
